    VMA 2021: Anitta se torna primeira brasileira a se apresentar; veja vencedores

    A cantora Anitta se tornou a primeira artista brasileira a se apresentar no Video Music Awards, o VMA, uma das principais premiações da música global promovida anualmente pela MTV americana.

    A artista apresentou “Girl From Rio”, música-título do quinto álbum de estúdio de Anitta. A faixa parte do sample do clássico “Garota de Ipanema” em remix com o rapper americano DaBaby.

    Anitta publicou uma sequência de fotos nas redes sociais para comemorar o evento.

    “Pisar nos VMAs como a primeira artista brasileira na história parece algo assim”, escreveu.

    O rapper Lil Nas X, a cantora Olivia Rodrigo e o grupo de k-pop BTS estão entre os principais vencedores da noite.

    Montero Lamar Hill, o Lil Nas X, ganhou o prêmio principal, de Vídeo do Ano, com o superproduzido e teatral clipe de “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, que também levou na categoria de Melhor Direção — o artista também é o diretor do clipe, ao lado de Tanu Muino. A produção também levou o prêmio de Efeitos Visuais.

    Sucesso surgido totalmente em 2021, Olivia Rodrigo ganhou como Música do Ano, com “drivers license”; Melhor Nova Artista e Melhor “Push Performance”.
